SABA-NC is hosting a fireside chat with D.C. appellate attorney Pratik Shah. Pratik has argued 14 cases in the United States Supreme Court, and filed over 150 merit or certeriori-state briefs in that court.
Pratik graduated locally from Boalt Law School at Berkeley. He clerked for the Honorable Justice Fletcher in the Ninth Circuit, and then for Justice Breyer on the U.S. Supreme Court. Afterwards, he worked for five years as an assistant to Solicitor General for the United States. He is currently the co-head of the Supreme Court and Appellate Practice group at Akin, Gump in their Washington, D.C. office.
Federal District Court Judge Vince Chhabria will ask Pratik questions about his career, cases he has argued, and the experience of answering questions from the justices on the Supreme Court.
The fireside chat will take place at Hastings Law School, 100 McAllister Street, Skyroom, San Francisco, California. Appetizers and refreshments will be served. The event is co-hosting by Hastings’ South Asian Law Students Assoiciation.
