We are hosting a fireside chat with Federal District Court Judge Jon Tigar on November 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Davis, Wright & Tremaine at 505 Montgomery Street, San Francisco.
Judge Tigar graduated Order of the Coif from Boalt (Berkeley) Law School, and served as an articles editor for the Law Review. After law school, he clerked for the Eleventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals for two years for Judge Vance. He then served as an litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster, LLP, a public defender in San Francisco, and a complex litigation associate at Keker & Van Nest.
In 2002, the Governor appointed Judge Tigar as a state court judge in Alameda County Superior Court. In 2012, President Obama nominated him to be a judge on the United States District Court in Northern District of California. The Senate confirmed him unanimously. The conversation with Judge Tigar will be followed by a reception. Appetizers and refreshments will be served. Please RSVP here.
