Volunteer attorneys provide brief 20-minute legal consultations and referrals to the public at free walk-in legal clinics at the India Community Center on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, on the 1st Saturday of each month at the Columbia Neighborhood Center in Sunnyvale, and on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Sunnyvale Senior Center. There is no charge for these clinics. Co-sponsored by the Pro Bono Project and various supporting legal and community organizations.
Volunteer attorneys assist community members with many kinds of legal issues such as family law, immigration law, insurance law, consumer law, employment law, probate, bankruptcy, landlord/tenant, predatory lending, collections defense, and small claims among other practice areas.
When and Where: 2nd and 4th Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the India Community Center, 525 Los Coches Street, Milpitas, CA 95035 (map); 1st Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Columbia Neighborhood Center, 785 Morse Avenue Sunnyvale, CA 94085; 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Sunnyvale Senior Center, 550 East Remington Drive, Sunnyvale, CA.

The Pro Bono Committee will also assist nascent organizations that aspire to obtain tax-exempt status with the IRS obtain pro bono legal representation from volunteer attorneys in SABA. Send us a description of the organization and its goals, and we will attempt to find a practicing attorney who is available and who can help you with this kind of work.
