Kavya Mohankumar -- President

Kavya Mohankumar is an associate Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP, in San Francisco, where she specializes in complex commercial litigation. Kavya received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of law in 2006 and her undergraduate degree is in Genetics and Biochemistry from St. Xaviers College, India. Monali Sheth -- Vice President

Monali Sheth is a staff attorney Equal Rights Advocates, where she handles employment and education discrimination cases.  She earned her J.D. and B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and her M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Sheila Warren -- Secretary

Sheila Warren is a San Francisco-based attorney who has extensive experience advising in the philanthropic sector. She has counseled hundreds of charitable organizations, including public charities, private foundations, social enterprises, business leagues, and schools, in the areas of tax and corporate law. Ms. Warren received her A.B. with honors from Harvard College and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. Prior to starting her own firm, she worked with Cravath, Swaine, & Moore LLP; Silk, Adler & Colvin; and Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass LLP. She is an Adjunct Professor in the Tax LLM Program at the Golden Gate University Law School and regularly speaks and writes on the topics of nonprofit law and philanthropy. Supriya Sundarrajan -- Treasurer

Supriya Sundarrajan is an Assistant District Attorney in San Francisco. Supriya served as a board member of the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California (SABA-NC), and the SABA-NC representative to the board of the North American South Asian Bar Association (NASABA) from 2006 to 2008. From 2007 to 2008 Supriya was SABA-NC's Communications Director. She received her B.A. at Northwestern University (1996), and her J.D. was conferred by the King Hall School of Law, University of California at Davis (2001).


Sanam Pangali -- Publicity Chair

Sanam Pangali is a corporate associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP in San Francisco. Sanam received her B.A. in Political Science, with a Minor in Economics, at the University of California, San Diego, and received her J.D. from The University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she served as a Senior Editor for the Journal of International and Economic Law and earned a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from The Wharton School. Asha Padania -- Grants Manager

Asha Padania is an attorney with Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach where she represents survivors of domestic violence and elder abuse in civil and family courts. She is a graduate of UC Hastings College of the Law, where she served as Notes Editor for the Hastings Women's Law Journal. While at Hastings, Asha was honored with the National Asian and Pacific American Bar Association Presidential Scholarship for her commitment to advocacy of communities of color in the legal system. She received undergraduate degrees in International Relations and Political Science, with Honors, from UC Davis. Asha has previously served on the Board of Directors for SABA-NC as the Co-Chair of the Pro Bono Committee.
