The Social Justice Committee supports SABA-NC’s commitment to equity, civil rights, inclusion, and engagement with issues affecting the South Asian community and the broader public.

What We Do

COMMUNITY EDUCATION: Develop programs that inform members about legal and social justice issues.

CIVIL RIGHTS AND EQUITY: Engage with issues affecting the South Asian community and marginalized communities.

COALITION BUILDING: Partner with sister bar associations and community organizations.

MEMBER ENGAGEMENT: Create opportunities for members to learn, discuss, and participate in justice-oriented work.

PUBLIC-SERVICE ALIGNMENT: Connect social justice goals with pro bono, mentorship, and community programming.
